Line 5 - The Heretic

The 5th line carries the most transpersonal karma in the hexagram. These are people who are heavily projected upon to be the saviors. People sense that the 5th line people can help them and will project onto them that the 5th line person will save them. If not careful, the 5th line can be seduced into this feeling of being a savior and take on helping when it is not aligned, not hold up the projected expectations, and their reputation can suffer.  

The 5th line profile has its own seductive nature and can bring people to them who want them to save them. 

The 5th line is known as a "karmic mirror," showing the people projecting onto them what they need to work on in themselves. An example would be a couple where one person wants to make dietary changes, and their 5th line partner is not making those changes too. The person who wants to change projects upon the 5th line that they are not concerned about their health and tells the 5th line person they need to stop eating X food every time they see them. Projecting onto them that "If they wanted to feel better, they would eat better" when it's actually the other person who needs to make the changes and is not making them. 

Those in the healing arts professions who carry a 5th line profile should be mindful of this when working with clients/patients as they may expect you to save them, and if you don't, they may tarnish your reputation. 

Note to line 5 entrepreneurs - Be careful of the promises you make. Make sure you can uphold them; if you can't, your reputation may suffer. Be clear and if working with clients where a contract is utilized, make sure you cross your t's and dot your i's so that everyone knows what's expected of them.
