Friendship is like a Tootsie Pop
So I was in the car with my mom one day and she started talking about friendship.
She said that friends are kinda like a Tootsie Pop.
And she started explaining to me how you are in the very center of the Tootsie Pop, you’re like the stick. And your close friends – they’re like the gooey Tootsie Pop center that is very close to you. That’s were your best friend and your friends who you talk to all the time sorta live.
Then there’s your friends who maybe you don’t talk to all the time or always hang out with, but you know you’re still friends. These friends are on the outer shell of the Tootsie Pop like the hard candy part. And slowly as you start to hang out with these friends more and talk to them more, they eventually get pulled into that close Tootsie Roll that surrounds you.
I thought that this was a very good analogy and had to make a drawing out of it because, well why not. But it makes sense and can maybe help you figure out where your friends are in this analogy and maybe, you want to bring them closer so you can pull them into your closer friend group. But I think this is a helpful lesson to help you figure out where their friendship stands with you.
